I've been a long distance runner and cyclist as well as a surfer for most of my adult life. In addition to having an athletic history, I've been a licensed psychotherapist for thirty years. Two years ago I suffered a knee injury while surfing that resulted in a miniscus repair orthoscopic procedure, at my left knee. Shortly following I suffered a trauma to my right knee, also while surfing. With both knees compromised, my lifestyle became progressively more inactive which resulted in unwanted weight gain and increasing stiffness and weakness, particularly in both legs and lower back.
